Lyrics
I’ve been in this town since I was 18
When I arrived it promised freedom
And responsibility
I thought I could finally be
Who I wanted to be
But I was wrong
I was wrong
The rigor and the grind of it seeped into me
I sunk down deep into all my Insecurities
I couldn’t just be who I am
Cuz I never new
Who I was
Who I was
And here I’m trapped in this liminal space
I think a change in location can force a change of pace
So I set my sights and I plan to run away
But I don’t
And I won’t
As I grew older I refocused
I found new passions and I set aside
My restless tendencies
I thought I could make it work
Living in this town
But soooon
That restless feeling
Would return
Maybe this time I’ll have direction
I know myself better now
I’ve done things I’d never imagined
It’s 10 year down the road
And I’m ready to move on
What’s next
What’s next for me
But here I’m trapped in this liminal space
I think a change in location can force a change of pace
So I set my sights and I plan to run away
I just might
Yes I will
But here I’m trapped in this liminal space
I think a change in location can force a change of pace
So I set my sights and I plan to run away
I just might
Yes I will.
